Abilities
Every character on the site is going to have an ability of some kind. Some characters work harder on progressing their abilities than others, and some abilities can be progressed more than others. For example, a character with telekinesis could eventually work up to being able to manipulate things more/move larger things with their mind. But, a character with wing manifestation wouldn’t have to put quite as much work into mastering their power.
The powers here are put on a ten level scale, with one being the least powerful and ten being the most powerful. Not all powers are created equal, however, as was discussed previously. Some powers are going to be more dangerous than others, but in this case they should have more severe drawbacks as well. Characters will start off at different levels depending on their place in society and their age, as that almost directly determines the experience they’ve had with their power.
These characters will start off with a level one power. These powers are pretty weak and typically have pretty severe drawbacks. These characters don’t usually have very good control over their powers, as they haven’t been trained with them or had much of a chance to work them yet.
These characters will start off with a level two power. They usually have a pretty good control over their power by this point, which means that they won’t accidentally use it or overdo it. That being said, these powers are still fairly weak.
These characters will start off with a level three power. They have very good control over their power, and they aren’t going to use it accidentally ever, really. Their power is getting pretty strong by this point, and they can more or less hold their own.
These characters will start off with a level four power. At this point, the differences in levels between the powers is less noticeable. A person with a level four power is only slightly stronger than a person with a level three power. Along the same vein, a person with a level five power is only slightly stronger than them.
All of that being said, if your character is thirty years old but you feel like they’re only at a level one power, you can feel free to start them off at that level with an adequate explanation. Level four is the highest level that you can start with automatically. After that, you must level up as normal. The way you level your power is to make posts, and then buy the upgrade with what you earn from them. It’s pretty simple, really.
